💇🏽♀️ New Hairstyles and Fixing Color Bleeding
🗣️ FRIZZY: One of the biggest problems with the current hairstyles is that when dark overlays are applied to light hair, the light layer below is color bleeding through. This has been pointed out by our beta testers before and I‘ve gone back and forth on wether or not to redo the hair a third time (yes, I have applied color curves to 13 hairstyles in 69 hair colors by hand two times already). But with the new hairstyles I‘ve drawn, I noticed that my skills with drawing hair have improved and that there are many pro‘s with taking on this time-consuming task once again before we release the editor to all of you.
9 New Back Hairstyles
As of now, I have created 9 completely new back hairstyles, all besides the reworks of existing hairstyles.
This is just the beginning of a large overhaul—it’s a big task to fix all the hairstyles, but I‘m making steady progress. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue working on the rest!
👁️ Finalizing the Facial Update
Alongside the hairstyle improvements, we finalized the facial updates from last Frizzy Fridays.
3 New Eyebrow Colors
We’ve added 3 new eyebrow colors which are less saturated to match associated haircolors.Eyes, eyes, eyes
The eyes are the windows of the soul. So we have given them a complete overhaul, with major updates to both eyeballs and pupils.
Here’s the before-and-after comparison:
Eyeball:
- Before: 2 eyeball colors
- After: 3 eyeball colors
Pupil:
- Before: 29 pupil colors
- After: 72 pupil colors
Since we’ve added a ton of new pupil colors, here’s a helpful overview of the new color variants:
Community Question: Gender Neutral Models? 🤔
This week, we’re excited to start answering some of your questions! Our first one comes from dvl1i on Instagram:
The idea is to provide 2 base models, one feminine and one masculine. Then, through customizable features like eyebrows, hair and especially makeup, you can express your character’s gender identity however you see fit. This way, you’re not locked into predefined gender categories—you can create a look that feels right for you. Right now we‘re about to release the first model, which is the feminine body type. Depending on the performance of this first editor, we will try to release the masculine editor as fast as possible. If you have another question you want to see answered in the next blog entry, you can ask in the comments below or on the corresponding post on Instagram @frizzycharacterz.
That’s all for this week’s Frizzy Fridays! We’re excited to keep improving Frizzy Characters with your input, so don’t forget to share your thoughts and questions. See you in two weeks with more updates—and maybe a few surprises!

These eye colors are just fabulous. I am so in love with the "blind" pupils. They look so realistic and I'm just excited to see these together with the new hair styles. Everything just got so much more depth and dimension with these additions.
